Product Information:
Usually, there are two different types of electrode, Ignition electrodes and flame sensing electrodes. The Ignition electrode is responsible for creating the spark that starts off combustion within the burner The flame sensing electrodes are responsible for detecting whether there is a flame present in the burner. This is an important task and if the flame is not detected the boiler knows to re-attempt ignition.
This part is present in 8 different boilers in the Baxi/Potterton range including the POTTERTON PROMAX HE PLUS , PROMAX FSB , PROMAX COMBI 24, SOLO HE , SOLO HE .
We recommend that all parts are fitted by a fully qualified gas safe certified engineer.
